why we do it

Inspired by Stories, Driven by Heritage

"My work is deeply rooted in my lived experience as part of the British Asian diaspora, growing up in Wembley. I was profoundly influenced by my Baa’s jewellery, a symbol of heritage, storytelling, and cultural identity. These pieces, passed down through generations, sparked my fascination with how adornment connects us to our past, our community, and ourselves. It’s this personal connection to material culture that drives my mission to reclaim, share, and amplify these stories through art, collaboration, and creative practice." Anisha

How we do it

Curation

Anisha collaborates with museums and cultural institutions to create exhibitions that centre decolonial narratives and lived experiences. Through a multidisciplinary approach, she crafts immersive experiences that reshape heritage presentation. With community-led storytelling and well-being at the core, her work ensures cultural spaces are ethical, engaging, and deeply reflective.

Storytelling

Anisha uses storytelling to help organisations reclaim material culture and amplify Diaspora voices. Through sharing circles and the decolonisation of historical objects, her work challenges institutional frameworks to ensure stories are told with authenticity and care. Centring lived experiences, she brings forward narratives that are inclusive, empowering, and deeply meaningful.

Consultancy

Anisha partners with brands, museums, and organisations to develop equitable, culturally informed strategies that embed storytelling through researching, reimagining, and decolonising historical objects. She helps institutions build authentic partnerships with global majority communities, ensuring engagement with care, respect, and integrity.

Lecturing and Talks

Anisha delivers talks, lectures, and panel discussions at universities, cultural institutions, and corporate events. With over 10 years of experience as an artist and designer, her topics include decolonial practice, South Asian adornment, and cultural storytelling. Anisha has spoken at universities, panels, and conferences, inspiring critical thought and promoting equitable and meaningful approaches to heritage and identity.

Workshops & Sharing Circles

Anisha creates interactive, co-designed workshops that explore heritage, adornment, and creative storytelling. From jewellery-making for Diwali museum programming to sharing circles on heirlooms for International Women’s Day, she creates spaces where participants engage with creativity and cultural storytelling. These workshops empower communities to shape narratives through creativity and connection.

Artistic Direction

Anisha leads artistic direction and visual storytelling, bridging heritage and contemporary design across brand collaborations. She ensures every creative output is thoughtful and rooted in cultural identity. Anisha has also worked on art direction for music videos, editorial shoots, and exhibitions, overseeing everything from design concepts and styling to commissioning a wide rance of collaborators.
